Adjusting back focus

Since getting the Canon 50D I have been unhappy with the focus on certain lenses. Earlier today I adjusted the micro focus on my 50D and found my Sigma 30mm and Canon 10-22mm were out by 3 or 4 increments. It is something I would recommend checking after purchasing a new lens or camera.
